What Is Full Contract Value?

Full Contract Value is the total value of assets covered under a futures contract or a futures position. It is calculated simply by multiplying the futures price of the futures contracts by the amount of assets covered by them. It can also be understood as the total amount of money the long has to pay the short eventually for physical delivery in a physically delivered futures contract.
